SoCal Blogger Meetup

SoCal Blogger Meet-Up

I am on the fence with the whole SoCal Blogger Meetup and I only have a few more days to make a decision.

The SoCal Blogger Meetup is an awesome idea, seems well organized and is taking place about 3 miles from where I live. Could it be more convenient?

Why I think I shouldn't go...
I'm a new blogger and feel like I kinda don't belong yet. My blog will barely be a month old at the meet up and a month isn't even long enough to know if I will be able to keep this thing up or not. If I meet all these people and then stop blogging -- Fail!
I don't really have much to contribute.

Why I should obviously go...
Its right down the street, duh!
Opportunity to meet new people and learn new things about blogging.

What to do? Any advice for the new kid on the block?

I think you should go girl :) even if you do stop blogging, you still could have made friends along the way. Bloggy meetups are fun though!

I'm also the new kid on the block, but if I had a chance to go to a blogger meet up, I think I would! I would be super nervous to go, but think about all the great people you will meet. It will also be a good motivator to keep your blog going!

You should totally go! I'm super new to the blog scene as well, but that shouldn't matter. It would be a great place to meet new people and probably get some great ideas for your blog!

Too bad I don't live down there...we could create a blog-newbies club and all roll together. :)

I am with everyone else...go! I'd go if they had a nor cal meetup and I've only been blogging for 6 days. Ultimate newbie. Plus then you can report back to us on how you liked it.

hi, leah! i just saw that you rsvp'd and i'm so excited that you decided to come. i know a lot of people are nervous about coming to these meet-ups at first, but keep in mind that hardly anyone will know each other! plus, you all have a common interest.

i remember my first meet-up, i thought i was going to be crying in the bathroom stall because no one would like me. and when i ended up with a whole new group of people i could actually call friends, i was happy as can be.

i can't wait to see you there! :)

Hi Leah! I popped over from the SoCal Blogger Meet Up site and am looking forward to meeting you! I've only been to one other blogger thing, and it was when my blog was about a month old too. It was a HUGE conference--BlogHer, like 3,000 people from across the nation held in San Diego. I was self-conscious meeting bloggers with these huge blogs, and I didn't feel like I belonged or that I had much to contribute either because I was such a newbie. But 7 months later, I'm realizing that no one really cares and that it's just a chance to meet new people. So, I'm glad you're coming!! :)

Yay! Glad you're going! I signed up also :)

The best part about blogging is the amazing relationships you make. I've met so many wonderful people. You're going to have a blast! See ya there!!
