Where Have I Been?...

It has been almost a year since I started this blog and it almost feels like its been as long since I've last posted. Since I started blogging, I have either put myself into it 110% or not at all. I was never a blogger who was able to find my happy middle.

This morning I was thinking about my 2012 bucket list post and what from that list I have accomplished in almost a year. I thought it would be fun to come back and look back on my year and let you all know what I've done and where I've been. If you haven't checked out my 2012 bucket list, take a look and see what I had planned for myself.

-Plan a snowboarding trip to Mammoth

In January I crossed the first thing off my 2012 bucket list and made a snowboarding trip to Mammoth. I recapped the trip here.

-Plan a snowboarding trip to Lake Tahoe

In February, I was lucky enough to make it to Lake Tahoe. I recapped our trip herehere and here.

-Go wine tasting in Napa

I did make it to Napa. However, I didn't get the chance to wine taste in Napa. We drove through Sonoma and Napa as we made the road trip out of California back to Michigan. We did get the chance to visit Russian River Brewery which I can not put into words how excited I was. I also went wine tasting in Temecula countless times this past summer.

-Road Trip on the Pacific Coast Highway

This was the number one priority on my bucket list and I am so happy to say that I made it up the coast. Our road trip through Big Sur to Monterey was one of the most incredible things I've done. And I've done some cool stuff. It was so amazing we took that route a few weeks later on our trip out of California. Words can not express the beauty and serenity and I could post pictures for days.

-Visit Sequoia National Park
Unfortunately I didn't get the chance to see Sequoia National Park. Getting a chance to see the redwoods in Big Sur made up for this loss though.

-Get a certain piece of left handed jewelry

On June 30, he asked and of course I said YES! Ok, so maybe this was the number one priority on my bucket list. I got engaged this summer!

-Be home for the 4th of July

So I didn't make it home for the 4th of July this past summer but that was because we had bigger plans in store for the very near future...

-Learn to use my Nikon DSLR

I definitely had the opportunity to play around with my DSLR. Pictured in order the San Diego Zoo, La Jolla shores and the Golden Gate Bridge.

-Move Home to Michigan

On August 1st we crossed the Michigan border, almost 6 years from the day I left Michigan.

This past year sure has been a wild ride. I wouldn't change a second of it. It is nice to look back at the things I wanted to accomplish and see how many of them I actually did. It has been a successful year.

I have a lot of plans in store for 2013 and I hope to create another bucket list. Although I may not blog as much as I did starting out, it will be interesting looking back in another year to see where I am.

Stay tuned...

Remember Me? - I have SO much to catch you up on!

I haven't blogged in what seems like an eternity!

I just don't know how you all seem to keep up. I give each and every one of you so much credit!

Between working a crazy schedule, enjoying what is left of my California days, and planning a move - I just haven't had any time left to blog. I went from spending every waking moment working on my blog to coming back to reality and completely neglecting my blog. I just don't have a balance.

I just wanted to pop in and give you all some updates on my life!

M and I went on a sneak preview of my dream trip a few weeks ago - we drove up the California coast and camped in Big Sur. Words can not describe how beautiful it was.

Meanwhile, we are planning a move. I've mentioned in quite a few past posts how we were planning on moving back to Michigan. Well, the date is quickly approaching and we are packing up and leaving California two weeks from tomorrow! Oh how time can fly!

In the most exciting news, I am ENGAGED!

I've been waiting and waiting SO long to say those words! M proposed almost two weeks ago on the beach. So now not only am I planning a move back home but we will be planning a wedding as well!

He proposed with the most beautiful ring! He did a great job! It is absolutely perfect!

Once I get settled in back home in Michigan I hope to blog a little more when I find the time once again in between jobs. I look forward to getting caught back up and continuing my virtual scrapbook!

For-Ev-Er

I know I've been gone for forever. Its not that there's nothing blog-worthy going on in my life, I just can't find the time or motivation to sit down and write!

Summer is on its way, work is busy, when I get home I am beat. On my days off I am catching up on errands or out doing fun things with M. I rarely have weekends off anymore and when I do, I am on the go finding something to do with M. Things like this

So I can assure you, I haven't been bored. Time is flying and my time in California is limited. In a few short months I will be packing up my life for what I hope is my last move. Home to Michigan. There is still so much I want to do before I go and so few days to do them. Damn working on the weekends.

Today is M's birthday! And in just a couple short weeks it will be mine!

I miss sitting down with my virtual scrapbook, my little blog. And I miss reading what you all have been up to! With summer kicking off this Memorial Day weekend, I can't make any promises but I'll try my best to keep posting!

15 Again

Happy Friday everyone. And boy am I glad its Friday. Not just because I have a glorious three day weekend but I've never been so happy to get away from co-workers.

I've mentioned before how I love my job. I've also mentioned how I met a new bff recently at work. What I have not mentioned is that I work in high school.

Not literally.

I work at a kayak shop. Yesterday was nothing short of drama, rumors and awkwardness. I am going to be 29 years old in one short month. I am above this. I won't go into detail. The drama makes me appreciate where I am in life and makes me grateful for M. Before becoming mixed up with the nonsense, my life was almost perfect. I say almost just because nothing is ever perfect. My life is normal. It is boring and quiet in a good way. Peaceful. And I'd like to keep it that way.

I still like my job. I still like my boss. What I do know is that I am in for a long summer.

I was once in a bittersweet situation and unsure how to go about my future.

Now, I am crossing my fingers that I get a job offer to leave sooner rather then later.

Happy Friday my friends.
