Shamrocks & Lucky Charms

Tomorrow is St. Patrick's Day! I'm beyond excited because I have the day off. It was touch and go there for awhile.

I mentioned before, St. Patrick's Day is when the inner college kid comes out again. That means kegs and eggs. Starting the festivities early.

In college, we really did have bars that would open at 6am for kegs of green beer and green eggs and ham.

When I moved to San Diego, I discovered St. Patrick's Day wasn't as big out here as it was back home. Needless to say, that hasn't stopped me from missing a St. Patrick's Day.

Last year when we lived in Denver, M and I decided to take the day off and do St. Patrick's Day like we use to, starting at 6am. We had so much fun.

We got breakfast at an Irish pub and kicked the morning off with some Guinness and Irish Car Bombs.

We did a small pub crawl in downtown Denver. Probably the best time I ever had in actual Denver.

I also made some chocolate stout cupcakes with baileys ganache filling. This year I plan on making shepherds pie.

I can't wait to wear my green tomorrow!

Hope you have fun!

I'm not a fan of Irish Car Bombs, but I LOVE me some green beer! :)

Leah, we should totally meet up for a drink in the fall when I make it back to SoCal.
