For-Ev-Er

I know I've been gone for forever. Its not that there's nothing blog-worthy going on in my life, I just can't find the time or motivation to sit down and write!

Summer is on its way, work is busy, when I get home I am beat. On my days off I am catching up on errands or out doing fun things with M. I rarely have weekends off anymore and when I do, I am on the go finding something to do with M. Things like this

So I can assure you, I haven't been bored. Time is flying and my time in California is limited. In a few short months I will be packing up my life for what I hope is my last move. Home to Michigan. There is still so much I want to do before I go and so few days to do them. Damn working on the weekends.

Today is M's birthday! And in just a couple short weeks it will be mine!

I miss sitting down with my virtual scrapbook, my little blog. And I miss reading what you all have been up to! With summer kicking off this Memorial Day weekend, I can't make any promises but I'll try my best to keep posting!

15 Again

Happy Friday everyone. And boy am I glad its Friday. Not just because I have a glorious three day weekend but I've never been so happy to get away from co-workers.

I've mentioned before how I love my job. I've also mentioned how I met a new bff recently at work. What I have not mentioned is that I work in high school.

Not literally.

I work at a kayak shop. Yesterday was nothing short of drama, rumors and awkwardness. I am going to be 29 years old in one short month. I am above this. I won't go into detail. The drama makes me appreciate where I am in life and makes me grateful for M. Before becoming mixed up with the nonsense, my life was almost perfect. I say almost just because nothing is ever perfect. My life is normal. It is boring and quiet in a good way. Peaceful. And I'd like to keep it that way.

I still like my job. I still like my boss. What I do know is that I am in for a long summer.

I was once in a bittersweet situation and unsure how to go about my future.

Now, I am crossing my fingers that I get a job offer to leave sooner rather then later.

Happy Friday my friends.

How Pinteresting Wednesday -- Paradise Inspired

Another Wednesday is upon us and I am linking up to share what I think is pinteresting. My very first pinterest linkup was beach inspired and this week I am going back to the beach theme. I'll call it paradise inspired to be a little different.

When Blogging Gets Hard

This week instead of lack of blogging ideas, I am having more lack of blogging motivation. I had a fun filled packed weekend but I just can't find the motivation to blog.

The weather is getting nicer, I have a newfound social life in addition to work, running, spending time with M and just being plain exhausted.

Excuses aside, I had a great weekend.

Friday night M and I checked out a wine bar that I've been dying to go to. We sat outside and drank wine and ate bread, cheese and pizza. My heaven. After our wine date, I met a couple girls from work and we went out for a few drinks to gossip and have girl time. Its been awhile since I've had the luxury of girl time.

Saturday I went to a scrapbooking expo. It was overwhelming and costly but I got some great stuff. I love scrapbooking. In Colorado I was lucky enough to have a whole separate room in our apartment for my scrapbooking. Since we moved back to California and downsized, I don't have room anymore for my stuff. Blogging has become my virtual scrapbook outlet. After attending the expo, I want to start scrapbooking again, leaving even less time for blogging!

After the scrapbook expo, I had a low key Saturday night with M. I made chicken enchiladas for Cinco de Mayo and that's about the only celebrating we did.

Sunday we decided to head to Temecula to take advantage of my wine club membership.

I took a lot more pictures this time around in Temecula but they will have to be for another time.

After Temecula, I met up with my new bff and we had a girls night seeing The 5 Year Engagement.

I had an event packed weekend but it was relaxing at the same time. Sometimes having a spontaneous packed weekend is better than having things planned out. It also seems less tiring.

Colorado Living - Durango and Pagosa Springs

Last week I shared with you all of the Colorado breweries we visited. A few of them I mentioned were part of a road trip to Durango and Pagosa Springs. Breweries aside, Durango and Pagosa Springs were two places on my list to visit before we left Colorado.

Durango and Pagosa Springs are two neighboring towns about 30 minutes apart located in the southwest corner of Colorado. Before moving to Colorado I had heard that Durango and Pagosa Springs were beautiful and I had to see for myself. Pagosa Springs is located on a hot spring which was pretty cool in itself.

We took off for the 7 hour drive and planned on making a long camping weekend out of the trip, also planning on stopping at as many breweries as we could.

Road Trip

When we arrived in Durango, we set up camp. We camped on a river.

We went to the breweries of course and explored Durango. It was a pretty cool town.

We headed back to camp.

And then it rained.

After we eventually left Durango, we stopped to explore Pagosa Springs on the way back.

Pagosa Springs is situated on a natural hot spring. Hot springs run into the river. The water shooting out of the pipe was hot!

On our way back to Denver we crossed the Great Divide.
