I've had my honeymoon planned for as long as I can remember. I was going to Bora Bora and would stay in an overwater bungalow.
Over the past year or so I've began to rethink Bora Bora. Sure, its exotic but I wonder if my expectations are set too high. Maybe Bora Bora is overrated.
Lately I've thought about Hawaii and Europe. I started planning a Maui vacation with my mom that fell through and before I knew we weren't going, I put a lot of time and effort into researching Hawaii. There is so much to do in Hawaii, it would be a perfect honeymoon for an active couple.
In Hawaii I would go to Maui and go to Haleakala, drive the Road to Hana, visit the Maui Brewing company. On Kauai I would hike to waterfalls and on the Big Island I would go to Volcano National Park.
I've always wanted to go to Italy but lately I've been bit by the Europe bug. If I had to narrow it down, I'd want to go to Italy, Germany, and Ireland. Perhaps Switzerland and M wants to go to Belgium.
Cliche aside, I would prefer a tropical honeymoon. On the other hand, Hawaii seems like a vacation that could be taken easier than Europe. Especially once a house and kids are factored in.
Today I am linking up for a honeymoon inspired pinterest edition.

Ahhh these pins are making me so anxious for my own trip to Hawaii!! Sounds like you did a lot of research!! I need to figure out what I'm going to do while i'm there - feel free to share some ideas:)
I think we have the same line of thinking lady! Bora Bora looks amazing but for some reason it was not a place I've actually really considered going. I want to go but I don't know lol. Hawaii was always, ALWAYS my #1 honeymoon destination and I still want to go so badly. But when it actually came time to planning the honeymoon suddenly Europe was taking over. And like you we had about a zillion places there that we wanted to visit. In the end we just did London and then 2 cities in Germany but we definitely plan on going back. Next April we'll be back in England for a wedding so we're seeing what else we can squeeze in while we're there. I agree that for some reason Hawaii seems easier so I'm happy we did Europe now :) No matter where you go you'll have an amazing time! :)
I need a vacation so badly! These pins are making me want to pack up and leave asap!
Would love to go to any one of those places. Thanks for sharing those beautiful pins!
aaahhh.. we are going to maui in less than two weeks!! and i never blogged our honeymoon there, so the next like 6 posts are strictly "honeymoon in maui" posts..
but i feel you- we WERE going to europe, but that feel through.. so we have been saving and saving and HOPEFULLY, next year, we can make it to europe (but then the question is, WHERE in europe?? spain? paris? germany? italy? eastern europe? too many options!)
anyway.. good luck picking a destination!
Yes to all the above...I've been obsessed with Tuscany ever since I saw Under the Tuscan Sun. And Ireland ever since...PS I Love You. Happy Wednesday!

All of those places look amazing. I wish I could go back in time and re-live my honeymoon. It was wonderful to just lay on the beach in Jamaica after the stress of buying a house, moving, and getting married. On second thought, I think I would just like to go to Jamaica and skip all of the previous stress of the honeymoon...
bora bora looks amazing. i cant wait for my maui trip
Honeymoon in bora bora is really unforgettable experiences. Not body want to miss this destination to visit.
